Editorial Policy
Effective date: May 10, 2026
Polchi commits to transparent, reader-first entertainment journalism. This policy summarizes how we assign coverage, manage conflicts, and separate editorial content from advertising.
Independence
Editors retain full discretion over assignments, headlines, and verdicts. Advertisers and commercial partners may not preview reviews or demand favorable outcomes.
Conflicts of interest
Contributors disclose personal relationships with studios, talent, or distributors when those ties could materially influence judgment. Where disclosure would not sufficiently mitigate bias, Polchi reassigns coverage.
Screenings & access
Press screenings and credentials are industry-standard access—they do not obligate Polchi to publish positive notices. If travel or lodging is sponsored by a festival, we disclose it at the top of affected coverage.
Corrections & clarifications
Factual errors are corrected promptly with an editorial note describing the change. Typos that do not alter meaning may be fixed silently.
Scores & ratings
Numerical scores summarize editorial judgment at publication time. They are not averages of external metrics unless explicitly labeled as such.
Diversity of coverage
We strive to represent varied genres, budgets, and regions—recognizing that availability differs by market and logistics.
Advertising labeling
Sponsored articles, partnerships, or affiliate commerce modules carry visible disclosure adjacent to the relevant module—not buried in Terms.
